Jazz transformed a traditionally complex subject into an engaging, decision-driven experience that helps employees recognise and respond to real-world risks by blending storytelling, branching scenarios, animation, and game-based mechanics.
As a global organisation, Jazz must ensure employees understand international sanctions, export regulations, and the compliance risks that arise when working with vendors around the world.
But the team faced several challenges:
Jazz needed a solution that could deliver serious content in a way that captured attention while still driving behaviour change.
Jazz used a combination of Near-Life’s branching capabilities, Vyond animation, and Articulate to produce a fully immersive e-learning journey.
To make the learning memorable, the team designed a superhero-inspired story:
This narrative structure made the training fun, dynamic, and emotionally engaging — increasing learner motivation to complete the course.
The team created more than 100 short animated scenarios using Vyond. Each scenario presents a realistic compliance dilemma involving international vendors, high-risk transactions, or potential gaps in due diligence.
These segments were integrated into Near-Life to create a game-based, branching path where every learner choice influences what happens next.
The full experience was assembled in Articulate to produce a polished, interactive course that felt cohesive and intuitive for learners.
86% of Jazz employees expressed satisfaction with both the content and the Near-Life experience.
