You can never predict when you might be faced with a life or death situation. St John Ambulance wanted to make sure that if the situation ever arose, bystanders would have the skills and confidence to make a difference and possibly save a life, so they commissioned us to create an interactive scenario to increase public awareness.
If you saw someone having a heart attack, would you know what to do? Do you think you could help? These are the challenges that St John Ambulance wanted to address in its Be the difference campaign.
Heart attacks account for over 100,000 UK hospital admissions each year: that’s one hospital admission every five minutes. St John Ambulance wanted to ensure that bystanders had enough confidence to act if they witnessed a heart attack. The charity’s mission is to: teach everyone simple, life saving skills. With no complicated first aid techniques to learn, the scenario achieves that mission.
Near-Life learning has traditionally been surrounded by more formal learning materials and resources. But St John Ambulance, deliberately wanted to keep things simple in order to reach as many people as possible.
The scenario was developed by our in-house creatives in partnership with their training and clinical experts to ensure the scenario was as realistic and relevant as possible.
