Practical, realistic and effective healthcare training made digital

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust wanted to provide staff with the opportunity to really understand trigger points, how to manage them, and how to reduce violence in care and thereby limit the need for physical restraint.

To help reduce the use of physical restraint, training needs to be consistent and replicable, built on personal relationships and to have a person-centred approach. The training we created takes learners on a real journey to emphasise the steps that should be taken.

 

Getting a patient to talk through their concerns can help reduce in-setting tension and violence escalation.
