Digital Training Solutions has been shortlisted for the Big Chip Awards 2016 with its innovative learning platform, Mission Ready.
The platform will compete in two categories: Most Innovative Application of Technology and Best Not-for-Profit Project.
Mission Ready is a joint project of DTS and RedR UK, with financial support from USAID and UKAID. The platform is aimed at delivering training to humanitarian aid workers around the world. Using DTS’s Near-Life™ technology, learners engage with filmed scenarios that they will likely face in the field and have 10 seconds to make a decision in response to what they have experienced. Their choices determine the outcomes and have real consequences in the training environment. The first course on Mission Ready is Field Security Management (FSM) and is available in English, French and Arabic. Later this year, the team will be launching FSM in Spanish as well as a new course in English: Remote Security Management.
The Big Chip Awards are now the largest digital awards outside London and the longest running in the UK. Winners will be announced at the Big Chip Awards dinner on 23 June 2016.
