Digital Training Solutions has won a Learning Technologies award for EXCELLENCE IN THE DESIGN OF LEARNING CONTENT: PUBLIC AND NON-PROFIT SECTOR for Frontline Humanitarian Toolbox.
The Near-Life™ platform was developed in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council to support its network of Syrian humanitarian partners ensuring effective programme delivery in Syria. The platform is a central part of NRC’s efforts to reach difficult to access communities.
Global recognition
Entries were received from across the globe with around 30 different countries taking part. Competition in the category was stiff and included global and national brands such as Minecraft, Marks & Spencer, and the Football Association.
In selecting DTS for the bronze award, judges said:
The judges were impressed with the professional and impactful video dealing with difficult and dangerous situations in this submission. Its immersive nature hit the right note given the performance required. The design presented a clean and simple interface and straightforward interaction, very appropriate for the training need.
Mike Todd, Director of DTS, said:
We’re really pleased to be recognised at this year’s Learning Technologies Awards for our project with Norwegian Refugee Council. It has been a massive effort from everyone involved and we are glad to be able to support the humanitarian work of the NRC in Syria.
