How do you take important healthcare guidance and turn it into learning that people engage with and can apply in their work?
That was the challenge facing Mountain Pacific and the Alaska Division of Public Health following a statewide needs assessment that identified a need to strengthen environmental cleaning knowledge and practice among healthcare professionals.
Using Near-Life alongside Vyond, the team created interactive learning built around realistic situations, decisions and immediate feedback. The programme has since reached around 1,000 healthcare learners across 13 US states, with:
- 89% of learners surveyed reporting improved understanding
- 91% saying they intended to put their learning into practice
- 92% saying they would recommend the training to others.
Go behind the scenes of the programme
In this webinar, Near-Life will be joined by Mountain Pacific and the Alaska Division of Public Health to explore how the programme went from an identified learning need to interactive training now being used well beyond its original audience.
You’ll learn:
- The challenge they set out to solve – what the needs assessment identified, who the learners were and why a more interactive, scenario-based approach was appropriate
- How the learning was created – how Mountain Pacific approached the learning design, how real-world situations became interactive, gamified scenarios, and how Near-Life and Vyond were used together
- The Alaska perspective – how the content was shaped for its audience, and what the team learned through implementation
- The results, impact and lessons learned – how learners responded, what the evaluation showed, what worked particularly well and what the teams would take into future projects
- What comes next – including translation and localisation, further scenarios and audiences, and how the approach could be applied more widely
See how the learning was built
We’ll also take a practical look at the development process, with examples from the interactive learning and a closer look at how Near-Life and Vyond were used together.
The session will be a conversational 30–35 minute discussion with the teams involved, followed by up to 10 minutes for audience Q&A.
This webinar is ideal if you work in:
- learning and development
- instructional design
- workforce development
- training within healthcare
Join us for a practical look at how one team turned essential guidance into decision-based learning and leave with ideas for turning your own content into interactive scenarios.
